Sourou: The coordination of citizen monitoring associations in the commune of Lanko© named the Ibrahim Traor© roundabout on Saturday, May 10.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Communal Coordination of Citizen Watch Associations (CCAVC) of Lanko© inaugurated the new roundabout in the presence of traditional and religious leaders, as well as the fighting forces of the commune.
The inauguration was led by the prefect and president of the special delegation of the commune, Sit©l© Th©odore Sanou. Djikouma Bonsa, the coordinator of the citizen monitoring associations, stated that the roundabout was named after President Ibrahim Traor© in recognition of his dedication to advancing a free Burkina Faso. Bonsa emphasized that President Traor© is seen as a savior by the youth, and naming the roundabout after him serves as a tribute to his leadership.
The construction of the roundabout was facilitated by contributions from the community’s residents and local supporters. Prefect Sanou applauded the initiative and called for continued unity among the citizens to support the President’s efforts to foster a prosperous future for Burkina Faso.
The event featured a ceremonial raising of the national flag and the distribution of food to the Volunteers for the Defence of the Fatherland (VDP) in the commune.
