Lunda-norte: The lack of theater rehearsal and performance spaces in the province of Lunda-Norte has been hampering the development of the arts in the region, limiting the visibility of artists and companies, as well as the development of new talent. According to Angola Press News Agency, the provincial secretary of the Angolan Theater Association (AAT), Hélder Chissaluquia, highlighted the challenges facing the arts in Lunda-Norte. The province has a theater space belonging to Endiama, but it remains unusable due to renovation work that has been ongoing for almost five years. Currently, theater groups have been performing their plays in one of the classrooms of the Health Technical School, in an improvised manner, to preserve the art and keep theater in the citizens' daily routine. Hélder Chissaluquia noted that the province was once a significant hub for theater. However, due to the lack of suitable theaters, the region has regressed, making mass production of theater performances unfeasible.
