Concerted efforts to rid our communities of illegal firearms in the hands of criminals which threatens their safety, led to the arrest of an adult male in the early hours of Thursday morning, 01 June 2023.

Members of Kuilsriver police received information from the community about a firearm at a premises in Luke Street, Sarepta. The members followed up the information and conducted a search at the premises where they found a 38 special revolver with ammunition in the room. The suspect was arrested on a charge of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

The suspect will appear in the Kuilsriver Magistrates’ court once he had been charged.
