Kpuere: The municipal authorities are organizing a day dedicated to local dishes. The municipal authorities of Kpuere organized on Saturday, October 18, 2025, a day dedicated to traditional dishes for the benefit of all communities in order to strengthen living together and social cohesion.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the aim of this activity is to create a framework for cultural exchange and entertainment, but also to allow the new generation to gain insight into disappearing traditions and cultures, as suggested by Adama Coulibaly, President of the special delegation of Kpuere. Coulibaly emphasized that the event serves as a means to fortify the social cohesion that has long existed despite religious, ethnic, and cultural differences, enabling communities to coexist harmoniously.
Among the local dishes presented were dolo and "Yovar ziere," a traditional sauce made from cousette leaves for the Birifor community, and "Babenda" for the Mossi. The Fulani community showcased traditional decorations alongside their "Gapal" made with fresh milk.
For the very first edition, the communities judged the day to be satisfactory, and the meeting is scheduled for next year with more improvements.
