The official handover of the keys took place during a ceremony held at the Bousse town hall, under the patronage of the governor of the Oubri region, Assita Sy Barry/Traore.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the vehicle, a minibus equipped with emergency medical-technical devices, responds to a need long expressed by health actors and local populations facing difficulties in medical evacuation. "Beyond a simple donation, this is a commitment to the health of populations," he said. A native of the commune of Laye, Mr. Kabre emphasized his attachment to his locality and his desire to participate in its socio-economic development. For him, this ambulance will save lives, improve emergency care and offer better chances of survival to critically ill patients.

"This donation is a relief for the people of Kourweogo," she said, while inviting other sons and daughters of the region to follow suit. She also noted that this initiative is in line with the call from national authorities for collective mobilization to support development actions, particularly in basic social sectors.

For her part, the chief medical officer of the Bousse health district, Dr. Adeline Dabiret Salou, expressed her gratitude to the donor and to all stakeholders who contributed to the realization of this action. She assured that the ambulance would be used optimally to improve health services offered to the population.
