Kourittenga: The AES Biometric Identity Card Registration Process Launches in Koup©la

Koup©la: The High Commissioner of the province of Kouritenga, Moctar Ilboudo, launched the operation to establish the Biometric Identity Card (CIB) of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) at the provincial directorate of the National Police of Koup©la. The launch was attended by the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Koup©la municipality, Moumouni Sagnon, and the Provincial Director of the National Police of Kouritenga, Bienvenue Ouarm©.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this operation, under the technical supervision of the National Identification Office (ONI), aims to provide citizens with a modern and secure identity document, compliant with AES standards. The initiative also seeks to harmonize identity documents and improve administrative governance within the region.

Moctar Ilboudo, the High Commissioner of Kouritenga province, encouraged the population to actively engage in the registration process, highlighting the significance of the AES CIB card for national security, facilitating the mobility of individuals, and ensuring access to public services. The registration is open to individuals aged five and above, requiring a birth certificate or a legalized photocopy, a declaration of loss if the CNIB is misplaced, a certificate of nationality for those born outside Burkina Faso, and a fee of 3,500 CFA francs.

Authorities assured the public of the availability of agents and the effective organization of the process in the province's enrollment centers to ensure a smooth registration process.
