Kourittenga/OSEP Final: Tamb¨la A School Crowned Double Champion

Koup©la: On Saturday, May 2, 2026, the field of the Koup©la Sud school vibrated to the rhythm of the final of the Organization of Sport in Primary Schools (OSEP), of the Basic Education District (CEB) of Koup©la I. At the end of a match full of emotion, the Tamb¨la A team retained its title against Grigny B with a score of 1 goal to 0.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony, which began with a grand parade of the different schools of the Basic Education District (CEB) of Koup©la I, took place in front of an audience of dignitaries. Administrative, customary and religious authorities, as well as the teaching staff and many students, mobilized to support the sporting youth of Koup©la.

From the kick-off, the two finalists, Tamb¨la A and Grigny B, showcased their technical talent. Despite repeated attacks from both sides, the defense of each team remained solid. The two teams went into halftime with the score still 0-0. In the final moments, the Tamb¨la A team managed to score the only goal of the game.

For Thomas Sandwidi, the teacher and coach of the winning team, the secret is training. "Every evening after classes, we were on the field with the students to learn. I thank the organizers. As for our opponent, they did not deserve to lose, it is the law of sport, there must be a winner and a loser. I encourage them to redouble their efforts for next year," he said.

The event's patron, Wendaonda Lasan© Nar©, stated that he will support the children "because their future lies in the hands of their parents. If we don't support them, no one else will. It is an honor for me to sponsor this activity."

As for the Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) Koup©la I, Omer Belembaongo, it was a total success. He thanked those who mobilized for the occasion because for him, "Investing in these activities is investing in children, because children are the framework and the future of tomorrow."

The winning team, Tamb¨la A school, in addition to the trophy, went home with a set of jerseys, a ball and a sum of 50,000 CFA francs. As for the Grigny B team, second in the competition, they received a set of jerseys, a ball and a sum of 40,000 FCFA.

It is worth noting that Tamb¨la A school confirmed its supremacy in local school sports, having already won the championship title in the previous edition. It thus achieved a brilliant double victory.
