Kourittenga Dêmê Sira Campaign Projects Unveiled in Koupéla

Koupéla: The High Commissioner of Kouritenga Province, Moctar Ilboudo, presided over a conference in Koupéla to discuss the initiatives funded by the Dêmê Sira campaign. This event gathered representatives from partner organizations, local authorities, and community stakeholders involved in the campaign. According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial directorate of Family and Solidarity reported that as of Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the Kouritenga province had accumulated 347,975 CFA francs through the Dêmê Sira campaign. To further encourage public involvement, an on-site collection during the meeting raised an additional 28,650 CFA francs. The purpose of the conference was to transparently present how the funds were utilized and to urge the community to increase their contributions before the campaign concludes on January 31, 2026. The High Commissioner emphasized the need for solidarity, especially for those who struggle to afford basic necessities or send their children to school. Moumouni Sag non, President of the Special Delegation of the Koupéla municipality, highlighted that the month of solidarity began last December and reiterated the call for continued generosity to support vulnerable groups. The meeting also included participation from various social organizations, such as the Kouritenga Provincial Coordination of People with Disabilities. The coordination representative, Béré Marie Thérèse, expressed a commitment to mobilize contributions on behalf of people with disabilities in the province.
