Kourittenga/CEP 2025: 8,757 Candidates Set Out for Primary School Certificate


Kourittenga: The High Commissioner of the province of Kourittenga initiated the Primary School Certificate (CEP) exams on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the Lilougou public primary school in the commune of Dialgaye. A total of 8,757 candidates began their pursuit of the first diploma.



According to Burkina Information Agency, writing was the initial subject tackled by candidates on the opening day of the CEP exam at the Lilougou composition center. The province of Kourittenga is accommodating these candidates across 59 composition centers, ensuring a wide distribution for the examination process.



Of particular note, the province has registered 525 internally displaced candidates, with the Lilougou center alone hosting 7 such candidates. The provincial director of primary education, Ouboli Marcel Yogo, has stated that measures are in place to facilitate the smooth progression of the exams. Efforts were made to relocate internally displaced candidates to suitable centers for a conducive examination environment.



Partners in the educational sector have shown their support during this period. Fran§ois Minoungou of the Belgian development agency Enabel emphasized their ongoing commitment to backing educational initiatives in Kourittenga. Their presence underscores a collaborative effort towards educational success in the region.



The High Commissioner, Moctar Ilboudo, expressed appreciation for the collective efforts of all parties involved in the CEP exams, acknowledging the security and health officers for their roles in maintaining a secure and healthy environment for the candidates. He extended his best wishes to all the candidates participating in the exams.
