Kourittenga: The High Commissioner of the Kourittenga province, Moctar Ilboudo, chaired the award ceremony for the best healthcare units and health facilities in the Pouytenga health district. The event is part of its 6th edition of the Days of Excellence under the theme: “Civicism and patriotism, a guarantee of an excellent healthcare system.”
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Pouytenga health district’s days of excellence were held on Saturday, June 14, 2025. The Urban 3 Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) in Pouytenga was named the best health facility and won first prize, which includes a certificate of recognition and a financial package of 100,000 FCFA.
The head of the urban CSPS 3 of Pouytenga, Emmanuel Sinamba, stated that the honor bestowed upon them is an invitation to redouble their efforts in their work and to do even better for the happiness of the population in terms of health. Pediatrics was named the best unit of the CMA of Pouytenga during this 6th edition, with the maternity ward securing second place.
The CSPS of Naryaoghin was awarded two first prizes, notably in the category of “nutrition” and in “Reproductive Health”, along with many other prizes. The first prize in TME went to the CSPS of Tambogo, and the prize for best manager was awarded to the manager of the CSPS of Kalwartenga. Certificates of recognition were awarded to healthcare professionals, partners, and other individuals contributing to the well-being of the Pouytenga health district.
The Pouytenga health district donated 25 bags of rice weighing 25 kg to the Kourittenga provincial directorate of Humanitarian Action for the benefit of internally displaced persons (IDPs). The Chief Medical Officer of the Pouytenga District (MCD), Dr. Ibrahim KaborĀ©, emphasized that the day of excellence aims to promote the efforts of the District’s health workers and facilities.
Dr. KaborĀ© noted the district’s encouraging performances over the past year, as evidenced by regional awards and certifications. He congratulated all healthcare stakeholders and encouraged them to continue providing quality care to the population. He extended his sincere thanks to all whose contributions helped make this 6th edition of the Pouytenga District Days of Excellence a success.
