Kourittenga: The President of the special delegation (PDS) of Koup©la, Moumouni Sagnon, chaired the ordinary session of the 2nd quarter of the year 2025, spanning from Wednesday, June 11 to Friday, June 13, 2025. The session saw participation from members of the special delegation, department heads, project managers, and other stakeholders involved in the development efforts of the commune.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session commenced with the unanimous adoption of the minutes from the first session of 2025. The second agenda item was the reorganization of the first amending budget for the 2025 management year. Moumouni Sagnon highlighted that the budgetary adjustments would facilitate the construction of three classrooms in the village of Gninga within Koup©la.
Moumouni Sagnon further elaborated that the “Children’s Fund” project would be instrumental in rehabilitating the municipality’s social services and providing scholarships to orphaned and vulnerable students. The project also aims to support income-generating activities for those in need.
During the session, revisions to various rental leases were made to enhance the municipality’s revenue, which is essential to address the population’s needs. Plans were also laid out to assist young people in vocational training by providing necessary equipment.
The President encouraged the populace to engage with the development initiatives set forth by the municipality, emphasizing that these efforts are directly linked to their well-being.
