The Islamic Republic of Iran has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Koumbri, which claimed the lives of 53 fighters and caused around 30 injuries.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani expressed deep condolences and sympathy to the government and nation of Burkina Faso, especially the families of the victims.

It is the hope that with a serious and effective fight against the sinister scourges of terrorism and extremism, we will see peace and stability in the different regions of the world, including West Africa.
