Koulse/Faso Mebo: Gendarmerie Legion of Kaya Engages in Paving Stone Production

Koulse: The 1st Gendarmerie Legion of Kaya participates in the production of paving stones. Following other units of the defense and security forces, the personnel of the First Gendarmerie Legion took over the Faso Mebo site in Kaya on Tuesday for a day of general interest work dedicated to the making of paving stones.

According to Burkina Information Agency, under the leadership of Colonel Theophile Tago, commander of the legion, the gendarmerie personnel, for the occasion, set aside their usual gear in favor of tools like wheelbarrows, shovels, and diggers. This shift was to actively engage in the production of paving stones at the Faso Mebo site in Kaya.

From 8 a.m. to noon, hundreds of paving stones were produced by Colonel Tago's team. Through this physical support, the gendarmes demonstrated their commitment to this presidential initiative.

Commander Theophile Tago emphasized that the initiative serves as a call for solidarity from various socio-professional groups to contribute towards accelerating local development.

The deputy regional coordinator of Faso Mebo, Adjutant Soumaila Guiwa, appreciated the gendarmerie's involvement. He regarded the gesture as patriotic and expressed his hope that similar organizations would join in the effort.
