Kouls©: The Kouls© region has seen an increase of approximately 2,000 candidates for the Primary School Certificate (CEP) and the entrance exam for sixth grade for the 2026 session. This rise is attributed to efforts by regional authorities to reclaim the territory, facilitating the return of many residents to their localities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this session has registered 18,004 candidates, including 10,479 girls, compared to 16,007 in 2025. The increase is largely due to the return of displaced populations and the opening of new examination centers, as noted by Moussa Ou©draogo, the regional director of Preschool, Primary, and Non-Formal Education of Kouls©.

Among the candidates, 13 will take the exam in the national language Moor©, and 12 will benefit from adapted conditions due to a disability. Despite challenges throughout the school year, the resilience of educational system actors and support from authorities ensured the session's smooth progress, as emphasized by the regional director of Education, Moussa Ou©draogo.

Idrissa Gamsonr©, the High Commissioner of the province of Sandbondtenga, representing the governor of the Kouls© region, commended the commitment of the supervisors and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) for maintaining a secure and calm environment during the exams. The launch ceremony, held on Tuesday, featured the opening of the first written test, the essay, officially commencing the exams across the Kouls© region.
