Koulp©logo/Sangha: The Written Exams for the CEP and BEPC 2026 Officially Launched

Noumbiel: The municipal authorities of Sangha officially launched the Primary School Certificate (CEP) and Junior High School Certificate (BEPC) examinations on Tuesday, marking the effective start of the written tests for the 2026 session in the municipality.

According to Burkina Information Agency, at the Sangha CEP examination center, the second vice-president of the special delegation, Alidou Koara, representing the President of the special delegation (PDS), offered advice to the candidates before wishing them every success. He then opened the envelope containing the written exam paper in the presence of the Head of the Sangha Basic Education District (CEB), Aristide Oubda, security forces, center presidents, and representatives of the invigilators.

At the Sangha departmental high school, the opening ceremony for the envelope containing the first BEPC exam papers was presided over by the first vice-president of the special delegation, Yacouba Sawadogo. He was accompanied by the secondary education inspector, Aboubacar Sawadogo, the jury president, Papaogba Voltaire Pac´me Kafando, and the parents' representative, Bruno Dada.

For the 2026 BEPC session, 248 candidates are registered, including 122 girls and 126 boys. Authorities recorded 10 absences, comprising 4 girls and 6 boys, resulting in an attendance rate of 95.97%.

For the CEP, 716 candidates were expected, including 298 girls. Twenty-six absences were reported, including 10 girls and 16 boys, representing an attendance rate of 96.37%.

The exams started in good organizational and security conditions, with the mobilization of education stakeholders, administrative authorities, and security forces to ensure their smooth running.
