Koulpelogo Educational Conference Emphasizes Commitment and Innovation

Koulpelogo: The educational conference of the CEB of Ouargaye opened under the banner of commitment and innovation. The pedagogical conference of the Basic Education District (CEB) of Ouargaye was officially opened this Wednesday, October 15, 2025, by the President of the Special Delegation of Ouargaye, Mahamadou Soulama. This meeting aims to strengthen the skills of teachers with a view to providing quality education adapted to the changes in the Burkinabe education system.

According to Burkina Information Agency, in his opening address, the Prefect read the speech of the Minister of Preschool, Primary, and Non-Formal Education before declaring the conference open. He praised the resilience, commitment, and dedication of those involved in the educational world, who are working to promote academic success despite security challenges.

The Provincial Director of Education, Alexis Kiema, reiterated the importance of teachers’ awakening and commitment to the profound changes taking place in the national education system. He indicated that for several years, a reform based on the integrative pedagogical approach (IPA) has been implemented to make learning more relevant and in line with the needs of learners and society.

According to Mr. Kiema, the 2024-2025 school year will introduce new educational innovations that require teachers to upgrade their skills. The Ouargaye conference is therefore intended to be a framework for exchanges, training, and sharing experiences to improve educational support for students.

The Provincial Director praised the teachers’ courage and sense of duty, while expressing the administration’s gratitude for their continued commitment. He finally thanked the organizers, technical and financial partners, and the President of the Special Delegation for their support in promoting education in the province.
