Koudougou Health System Enhanced with Advanced Biomedical Equipment

Koudougou: The technical platform of the Regional Hospital Center (CHR) of Koudougou has reached a new stage, with the reception on Friday, January 23, of a batch of state-of-the-art biomedical equipment, donated by the special delegation of the Nando region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the commitment made during the "Night of the Patient" last October has now been fulfilled. The centerpiece of this donation is an electrocardiograph worth 2,180,000 CFA francs. This equipment is crucial for the early diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases, the rigorous monitoring of cardiac patients, and the rapid decision-making of treatment plans.

In addition to the regional hospital, the Regional Health Directorate (DRS) also received a variety of equipment for local health facilities. This shipment includes oxygen concentrators, hospital beds, sterilization equipment, and complete kits for childbirth and neonatal care.

The ceremony brought together key figures including the president of the special delegation of Nando, Adama Jean Yves Bere, who reaffirmed that access to quality care is an absolute priority; the director general of the CHR, Dr Habibou Ouedraogo, who welcomed this valuable support; the regional director of health and chairman of the CHR, who guaranteed a "rational, efficient and responsible" use of these tools for the benefit of the population.

This strong gesture demonstrates an effective synergy between regional authorities and the health system to offer users safer and more efficient care.
