Koubri: Thirty young people from the commune of Koubri received installation kits intended for the production and marketing of local juices, as part of the implementation of the Presidential Initiative 'Referent - Opportunity - Integration' (ROPI) 2025. The activity is carried out by the Permanent Secretariat YouthConnekt, under the supervision of the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Employment, and is part of the national dynamic to combat youth unemployment and precariousness.
According to Burkina Information Agency, before receiving the kits, the beneficiaries participated in two training sessions designed to strengthen their technical and managerial skills. The first session, focused on financial literacy, took place from November 24 to 26, 2025, and covered management, savings, and financial planning. The second session, centered on the production of local juices, ran from November 27 to December 1, 2025, and enabled participants to acquire skills in processing, preserving, and marketing local products.
Presiding over the handover ceremony, the president of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Koubri municipality urged the beneficiaries to use the equipment responsibly. He emphasized the need to use the equipment exclusively for economic purposes, excluding any resale or personal use. While commending the Burkinabe government's efforts to empower young people, the PDS encouraged beneficiaries to demonstrate seriousness, perseverance, and determination to ensure the success of their projects. It also announced the establishment of a monitoring mechanism to assess the progress of the activities.
According to the municipal authorities, this initiative aims to promote the sustainable socio-professional integration of young people and to strengthen their contribution to the socio-economic development of the municipality of Koubri.
