Koubri: The monthly flag-raising ceremony is marked by a call for patriotism and solidarity. The commune of Koubri celebrated on Monday the monthly raising of the national colors at the Thursday private school complex, during a ceremony placed under the banner of patriotism, citizenship, and solidarity.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was presided over by the First Vice-President of the Special Delegation (PDS) on behalf of the President. It brought together representatives from the public and private sectors, key figures in the community, and teachers and students from the host institution. The national anthem, "Le Ditanye," was sung in the Moore language by all participants, reflecting Koubri's commitment to the values of national unity and cohesion.
In his address, the First Vice-President commended the mobilization of the various stakeholders and reiterated the importance of this monthly meeting in strengthening civic values. He expressed the PDS's gratitude to the participants for their consistency and commitment to serving the nation.
The founder of the Jedidia Complex, honored to host the event, thanked the local authorities for their trust. Emphasizing the educational value of the ceremony, he expressed his belief that the experience would have a lasting impact on the students. He also announced the donation of one ton of cement to the presidential initiative Faso Mebo, as a sign of his school's commitment to community development.
The Koubri National Police took advantage of the event to raise awareness among students and participants about road safety, reminding them of the necessary behaviors to prevent accidents during this period of increased incidents.
The ceremony was marked by a recital performed by a 5th-grade student, which received enthusiastic applause, as well as by the students' contribution to the Faso Mebo initiative, amounting to 20,575 CFA francs, a gesture praised by the authorities as an encouraging sign of civic responsibility among the younger generation.
In Koubri, the monthly raising of the colors remains a special moment of collective commitment, reaffirming the values of patriotism and solidarity essential to building a more just and united society.
