Kossi: The New Head of the Nouna Basic Education District Intends to Manage Transparently

Nouna: The president of the special delegation of Nouna, Souleymane Tiono, officially installed Sylvestre Yacoro as the new Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Nouna on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Yacoro has pledged to manage his district with transparency.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Yacoro was appointed by decree number 2025-001/MEBAPLN/SG/DRH dated January 9, 2025, and officially took up his duties on January 22, 2025. The installation ceremony was attended by administrative, military, and paramilitary authorities, along with supervisors, school directors, and social partners.

In his speech, CCEB Sylvestre Yacoro expressed gratitude to the Ministry in charge of Basic Education for their trust in him. He assured his colleagues of his commitment to tackling challenges and emphasized his intent to manage the CEB transparently. He called for sincere collaboration from all stakeholders in light of ongoing innovations.

Sylvestre Yacoro has succeeded Philippe Par©, who served as the head of the CEB of Nouna for seven years. Par© expressed his gratitude to the ministry authorities and CEB supervisors for their support during his term. He acknowledged the efforts of teachers in overcoming challenges posed by the insecurity in the province and extended his well-wishes to those affected by the crisis.

Par© also apologized for any failings during his tenure and urged the teachers to support Yacoro in his new role. The president of the special delegation of Nouna, Souleymane Tiono, expressed appreciation for Par©’s contributions and encouraged collaboration between Yacoro and the teachers. Tiono assured that the town hall’s doors are open for any requests.
