Nouna: The new provincial director in charge of Secondary Education, Karfa Ferdinand Boni, has expressed his reliance on the support of his colleagues to fulfill his mission. He made this declaration during his installation by the High Commissioner of the province of Kossi, Noufo Dembel©.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Karfa Ferdinand Boni was appointed by the Council of Ministers on April 3, 2025, and was officially installed in his role on April 22, 2025. He is the first person to hold the position of provincial director of post-primary and secondary education in Kossi.
Karfa Ferdinand Boni emphasized unity and collaboration, stating, "Together, we will succeed for the happiness of our children because unity is strength." He expressed gratitude to God and thanked the Ministry of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training authorities. He also acknowledged the support from administrative, religious, and traditional authorities, as well as directors and heads of provincial services.
In his address, Boni highlighted the special support from the provincial directorate in charge of preschool education, which provided him with essential equipment to start his mission. He discussed the mixed results of the past six and a half years, attributing challenges to the difficult security situation in the province.
Since 2018, insecurity has led to the closure of many educational institutions, with only 31 out of 52 establishments currently operational in two of the province's ten municipalities. Boni credited the resilience of education stakeholders for overcoming these challenges.
Staff representative Djibilirou Fofana pledged the staff's commitment to supporting Boni's mission. High Commissioner Noufo Dembel© congratulated the new director and urged all staff to assist in the continuation of his mission.
