Kossi province, the newly appointed High Commissioner, Noufo Dembele, has expressed a strong commitment to collaborate with the media in addressing local challenges. This declaration was made during a meeting with provincial media representatives on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the partnership with the media is crucial for tackling the extensive challenges and fulfilling the immense needs in line with the vision of the transition authorities. He emphasized the shared responsibility in facing these challenges, stating, “We are in the same boat.”

During their interaction with the High Commissioner, local media representatives seized the opportunity to raise awareness about pressing issues in the region. They brought attention to the food distress affecting the commune of Barani, highlighting the severity of the situation.

Additionally, the media emphasized the necessity for the presence of administrative authorities in various districts, underlining the importance of administrative involvement and oversight in addressing the needs and concerns of local communities.
