Korsimoro Livestock Farmers Donate Motorcycle to Boost Animal Resources Service

Ouagadougou: Livestock farmers in the commune of Korsimoro donated a motorcycle worth 1,250,000 CFA francs to the departmental animal resources service of the said commune on Monday. According to Burkina Information Agency, the high commissioner of the Sandbondtenga province, Idrissa Gamsonr©, stated that this gesture is patriotic and demonstrates the communities' appropriation of the livestock technical service.

He conveyed the authorities' gratitude to the donors for this initiative, which he described as a "textbook case" for other municipalities in the province. The High Commissioner also urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the equipment through regular and rigorous maintenance.

The spokesperson for the donors, S©kou Boly, stressed that this community gesture aims to strengthen the operational capacities of the technical service in charge of animal resources, for the benefit of all. "We were moved by the difficult conditions in which the head of the departmental Animal Resources service and her agents work to cover their area of intervention," he said.

He specified that thanks to a voluntary contribution, the farmers were able to raise the sum of 1,093,000 CFA francs. Mr. Boly welcomed the population's support for this initiative and reaffirmed the community's willingness to support the technical services, "to the limit of their means."

'We are overjoyed by this timely donation, which will greatly facilitate our work in the field,' stated the head of animal resources at Korsimoro. She assured everyone that the equipment would be used properly.
