Koosin General Assembly of Djibasso School Teachers Focuses on Commitment

Koosin: Teachers from the Djibasso Basic Education District (CEB) convened for a general assembly on Thursday, November 27, 2025, with a focus on commitment. The meeting's agenda included official instructions from the Ministry.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the gathering aimed to ensure that the teaching staff of the CEB of Djibasso fully understand and implement the ministry's directives. Inspector Forazoun Saboue, head of non-formal education, provided a comprehensive overview of the guidelines pertaining to the new school year to ensure a common understanding among educators.

Inspector Saboue highlighted the necessity of regular lesson preparation, particularly for assistants, emphasizing that lesson plans should be reviewed by school principals. The management of homework and the administration of two assignments per day were among the recommendations outlined in the official documents.

Pascal Coulibaly, Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Djibasso, underscored the importance of teacher diligence and punctuality. He addressed issues such as extended recess and unjustified absences, noting their detrimental effect on student performance.

From an administrative perspective, Inspector Yeda Bako reminded school directors of the importance of appointing a deputy teacher to assume responsibilities in their absence. This appointment, he noted, must be formalized through a service note to ensure continuity in school management.

Inspector Jean Zoumba Traore reiterated that the prevailing pedagogical approach remains the Integrative Pedagogical Approach (API), which considers the child's psychomotor and psychosocial development. Educators were encouraged to incorporate these elements into their evaluations to enhance the overall learning experience.

To support this initiative, Inspector Traore announced the establishment of three Educational Support Zones (ZEP) aimed at bolstering continuous teacher training. The CCEB has tasked its collaborators with intensifying their commitment to teacher development.

The assembly provided satisfactory responses to concerns and queries raised by the participants.
