Dokuy: The Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Dokuy, Anselme Taro, made a visit to the Goni site to inquire about the progress of the training of tenured teachers of the first bilingual years and their directors, which was launched on January 19, 2026, in the CEB of Dokuy, on the sites of Goni and Nereko.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Anselme Taro was welcomed to the Goni site by trainer Yitiomou Traore, who is responsible for the Dioula national language module. Taro commended the CCEB for its attention to detail through this supervision and expressed his satisfaction with the teachers' commitment and active participation.
During the first week, participants studied transcription, spelling, and grammar rules, as well as mastering the IPA framework, all punctuated by practical exercises. The second week, currently underway, focuses on the different subject areas taught in primary school: language and communication, mathematics, science, and ICT.
The session will conclude on Friday, January 30, 2026, with physical education, art, and culture activities. On the ground, teachers expressed the wish that this training be extended to all staff, in order to promote a better appropriation of bilingual approaches.
After praising the team's dynamics, the supervisor continued his tour of the Nereko site, where training is conducted in the national language, Bwamou.
