Kompienga: The territorial brigade of the gendarmerie definitively leaves the city of Pama as the High Commissioner of the province of Kompienga, Isma«l Ouattara, alongside all constituted bodies of the province, paid tribute to the gendarmerie on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the departure of the Pama gendarmerie marks the end of several decades of service in the city. The brigade had served with professionalism and dedication before leaving the city for good. The ceremony honoring this republican force was solemn and attended by the gendarmerie's brothers in arms from Kompienga.

The transition in Pama is part of a new reorganization of the security forces, with the city, which is the capital of the province of Kompienga, now coming under the responsibility of the national police. The national police force has been reinforced to meet the expectations of the local population.

The event was marked by moments of emotion, expressions of gratitude, and wishes for success for the gendarmes as they move on to serve in new localities.
