Komondjari: The 2025 certification assessment for basic literacy skills was conducted on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the Gayéri ‘A’ school and the Yentéma CEG in Gayéri. Out of 530 registered candidates, 458 participated in the assessment.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the assessment commenced with the call for candidates at 7:00 a.m. across all composition centers. The process was overseen by Raogo Darankoum, Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Gayéri and president of the jury. The opening of the first test envelope was conducted in the presence of supervisors, security personnel, and candidates.

This national certification assessment mirrors the Primary School Certificate (CEP) exam, with the key difference being the use of learners’ national languages for the tests. The assessment covers various areas such as text study, reading, problem-solving, and operations.

The operations test includes arithmetic, geometry, metric system tasks, and the management of small industrial units, known
in Gulimancema as ‘U loagu kubima.’ Successful candidates will receive a national certificate from the CCEB within their administrative jurisdiction.
