Kombissiri: On the evening of Thursday, March 27, 2025, the FDS, VDP, VADS, and the population of different religious denominations of the city of Kombissiri gathered for the collective breaking of the fast. This sharing of meals, initiated by the provincial direction of the Baz¨ga national police, aims to strengthen cohesion between the FDS and the population.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the various defense and security forces (FDS), namely the police, the gendarmerie, the water and forestry agents, the VDP (Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland), the VADS (Assistant Security Volunteers), and the populations of Kombissiri, observed in communion the breaking of the fast on the evening of Thursday, March 27, 2025.
This collective break was chaired by the High Commissioner of the province of Baz¨ga, Mrs. T©n© Justine Kientega/Ilboudo, and took place within the provincial directorate of the national police of Baz¨ga, in the presence of administrative and customary authorities.
According to Saidou Ouoba, Chief Police Commissioner and Provincial Director of the Baz¨ga National Police, the objective of this initiative is to bring together the province’s brothers in arms, of all religious denominations, and the population around a common dish during this blessed month of Muslim fasting and Catholic Lent, with the aim of further strengthening social cohesion.
Ms. T©n© Justine Kientega/Ilboudo welcomed the organization of this event, which helps strengthen fraternity and collaboration between the FDS and social cohesion with the population.
This collective breaking of the fast was marked by a sharing of meals, prayers, and blessings for living together, security, and peace in Burkina Faso.
