K©n©dougou: The Integrated Development Project for the Corn, Soybean, Poultry and Fish Sectors (PIMSAR) provided essential poultry equipment to 130 poultry farmers in Orodara to support their farming activities. This event was chaired by Sadou Sakira, the High Commissioner of K©n©dougou Province.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the symbolic handover took place on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, and involved 130 farmers, with 10 beneficiaries from each municipality. The equipment distributed included materials such as cement, sheet metal, rafters, spikes, fastening iron, tar, wire mesh, and doors.
Gassi Lougu©, the provincial director in charge of Agriculture in K©n©dougou, emphasized that PIMSAR aims to foster integrated, climate-resilient, and inclusive development across the maize, soy, poultry, and fish sectors. The goal is to enhance food and nutritional security and address gender inequalities. Lougu© mentioned that the farmers would also receive additional support, including feed production units and other necessary equipment, once their chicken coops are constructed.
High Commissioner Sakira encouraged the farmers to utilize the equipment effectively. Souleymane Traor©, representing the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude towards PIMSAR for the support, stating that it would significantly aid in their field activities.
