Kndougou/N’dorola Health District: The High Commissioner Calls for Greater Use of Health Facilities by the Population

N'dorola: The High Commissioner of Kndougou Province, Saïdou Sakira, urged residents in N'Dorola on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, to make greater use of healthcare services for better disease management. This occurred during a session of the district health council, attended by its statutory members. According to Burkina Information Agency, the N'dorola health district held its health council meeting on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in N'Dorola. Participants examined several items on the agenda, including the review of epidemiological surveillance performance indicators for 2025, vaccination campaigns, the status of receivables from Essential Generic Medicine Depots (EGMDs), and the presentation of products and indicators from the 2025 Annual Work Plan (AWP). Discussions revealed that all activities planned for 2025 at the N'dorola health district level have been completed. However, participants noted low attendance at health facilities by the population. The High Commissioner of Kndougou Province, Saïdou Sakira, urged the population to make greater use of health services for better disease management. He also urged the presidents of the Management Committees (COGES) and community actors to intensify awareness-raising efforts in order to bring the population closer to health facilities. As a reminder, the N'dorola health district has 22 health facilities for a target population estimated at 167,661 inhabitants.
