K©n©dougou: The special delegation of the commune of Morolaba, led by President Germain Mien, presented the results of its management for the years 2022, 2023, and 2024 on Saturday, June 21, 2025. The event was an accountability day aimed at informing citizens about the management of local affairs.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Hien emphasized that this accountability exercise aligns with Article 11 of the General Code of Local Authorities, which ensures citizens’ right to information. The report highlighted that in the area of resource mobilization, the municipality achieved an overall recovery rate of 101.82%, with 879,026,332 CFA francs mobilized out of a projected 863,296,440 CFA francs.
In terms of own revenue, 91,214,325 CFA francs were collected out of a forecast of 103,557,355 CFA francs, achieving a rate of 88.08%. Despite security challenges in the municipality, several actions have been undertaken in education, health, infrastructure, and local governance.
Mr. Mien also pointed out significant challenges such as terrorist attacks, tax incivility, low internal revenue mobilization, and the municipality’s reliance on the state budget and its partners. For 2025, the Morolaba municipality plans to focus on improving local governance and socioeconomic development.
He called for solidarity and collaboration among all stakeholders to tackle ongoing challenges, urging the community’s children and youth to engage in promoting peace and social cohesion.
