K©n©dougou: The Orodara Basic Education District (CEB) concluded its sports and cultural activities in Orodara, where Hayatoul School triumphed over Sababougnouma School in the men’s football final with a score of 3-0.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event marked the end of the CEB’s sports and cultural season. The cultural activities concluded on Monday, May 26, 2025, with the men’s football match held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, between Hayatoul and Sababougnouma school teams. The activities were conducted under the theme “Promoting Patriotism and Performance in Schools,” featuring recitals, playback, traditional dance, storytelling, and theater.
Hayatoul School’s victory secured them the championship trophy, a prize of 50,000 CFA francs, a set of jerseys, and a ball. Sababougnouma School received 40,000 CFA francs, a set of jerseys, and a ball as runners-up. The Andr© Dupont Children’s Home in Orodara claimed the third prize with 30,000 CFA francs, a set of jerseys, and a ball.
All participating teams and school troupes in the cultural competitions were rewarded for their efforts. Adama Konat©, the event coordinator, expressed satisfaction with the significant mobilization of stakeholders. He noted the enthusiasm surrounding the activities and appreciated the presence of His Majesty the Chief of the village of Orodara.
Cyrille K. Somda, Head of the Orodara Basic Education District, highlighted the importance of the mobilization and commitment of stakeholders, emphasizing the community’s value for education. He extended his gratitude to all contributors to the success of the sporting and cultural season.
