Kirinyaga Reports Smooth KCSE Examination Process with More Female Candidates

KERUGOYA – Kirinyaga County has seen a notable number of female candidates surpassing male candidates in this year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations. The total count of candidates stands at 7,202 female students compared to 6,365 male students, with one student taking the exams at Kerugoya County referral hospital due to illness.

According to Kenya News Agency, the Kirinyaga County Director for the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), this information was disclosed during the opening of the examination containers at 7 a.m. on Tuesday. The examinations were subsequently distributed to forty centers across the Kirinyaga Central Constituency. Iregi mentioned that following the successful completion of practical exams, the monitoring team is optimistic about the smooth progression of the remaining papers.
