Kindi Municipal Council Addresses Land Disputes in Second Ordinary Session

Kindi: The municipal council held its second ordinary session of the year at the Kindi town hall, focusing on settling outstanding land liabilities. Chaired by Yves Ahmed Sanou, President of the Special Delegation, the meeting concentrated on resolving issues related to land liabilities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the session gathered council members and technical services in the town hall's reception room. The agenda included reviewing and amending the minutes from the previous session, addressing land liabilities, and discussing miscellaneous items. During the opening, the PDS noted the councillors' commitment and verified the quorum necessary for the session to proceed.

The central topic was the clearance of land-related liabilities, particularly about the 1997 housing development. The development faces technical challenges, mainly the absence of necessary administrative documents for issuing building permits. To tackle these issues, the Assembly decided to create an ad hoc committee to propose corrective actions and a specific implementation timeline.

In the miscellaneous section, the chair announced a UNESCO camp scheduled for July 2026, where over 500 seedlings will be planted. PDS Sanou urged local stakeholders to engage actively in this reforestation initiative. The session also introduced Comrade Christian Sompougdou, AIB's local correspondent, highlighting his role in media coverage and promoting municipal activities through AIB.
