Moscow: Students from the Ir©n©e Preschool Education and Awareness Center (CEEP) visited the Hound© police station on Thursday, May 8, 2025. The aim of this immersion was to raise children’s awareness of civic culture and introduce them to the police profession.
According to Burkina Information Agency, around twenty students from the Ir©n©e Preschool Education and Awareness Center (CEEP) were immersed at the Hound© police station on Thursday. Accompanied by their teachers and in the presence of police officers, these children aged 5 to 6 discovered several sections of the institution, including the police station, the data collection center, the accident section, and the legalization section.
At each stop, they received a brief presentation and explanations about the service’s role. Particularly in the accident section, visitors were made aware of the importance of respecting the highway code. The visibly moved children, some of whom had dressed up as uniformed personnel, expressed their thanks to the police and all the fighting forces for their commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens through songs and poetry.
For Father Beno®t Rouamba, co-promoter of the CEEP Ir©n©e de Hound©, this immersion aims to teach children to be citizens and to allow them to discover the work of the police. According to him, it follows the careers day organized in the classroom to raise children’s awareness of the diversity of professions. “Taking children to the police allows them to combine classroom theory with the reality of a police officer’s work,” he said.
For his part, the Hound© Central Police Commissioner, Mahama Konat©, welcomed the children’s educational visit. He believes that this experience will allow them to learn about police work and contribute to their civic culture.
