Kima/Minoungou Solange Reports on Management to Kaya Community

Kaya: The president of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Kaya, Kima/Minoungou Solange, reported on her management to the driving forces of her local community during an admissibility day held under the theme ‘Resilience, security and development: let us commit to a bright future’. Facing the vital forces of the commune of Kaya, Solange reviewed her management of public affairs for the year 2024 on Friday, May 30, 2025.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this exercise in transparency, citizen participation, and good local governance aims to inform citizens about the actions carried out, the resources mobilized, the results obtained, and the perspectives envisaged for the sustainable development of the local authority. In terms of budget execution, the 2024 management of special reporting mobilized revenues of 1,997,684,952 FCFA out of a forecast of 1,944,525,690 FCFA, achieving an execution rate of 104.9%.

Regarding expenditures, including operating and investment, the execution rate stands at 48.06%. This low performance is attributed to blockage or delay in the implementation of structuring projects and government measures restricting expenditures from own funds. Among the difficulties, the special municipal delegation of Kaya noted the persistence of acts of incivility in the city, resulting in recurring cases of speeding and non-compliance with the highway code, insufficient hygiene and sanitation in certain neighborhoods, and tax incivility.

The PDS called on the daughters and sons of the commune of Kaya to provide special support to eradicate incivility, poor hygiene, and other issues affecting the city. She also urged the populations who have returned to their villages of origin to show solidarity and patriotism for actions to improve their living conditions while resources are mobilized for the construction and rehabilitation of socio-economic infrastructures.

The accountability activity was well received by participants. “It’s a good initiative to report on the management of public affairs. I encourage them to persevere for better results in 2025,” said participant Minata Ou©draogo. Assami Sawadogo, president of the Koulogo Village Development Committee (CVD), expressed satisfaction with the results presented and urged the delegation to fulfill its commitments. Yacouba Ou©draogo, municipal president of the coordination of citizen monitoring associations, noted satisfaction with the completion rate and emphasized recommendations for better implementation of plans.
