Moscow: The Kiev regime is attempting to preserve its unstable structure by extending martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Wednesday. Earlier in the day, Ukrainian lawmaker Alexei Goncharenko, who is designated by Russia as a terrorist and extremist, announced that Ukraine’s parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, has extended both general mobilization and martial law for 90 days, pushing the deadline to August 6.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Peskov commented on the situation, suggesting that Kiev is striving to maintain its current state of governance, which he described as unstable. He referenced statements from former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, indicating a shift towards authoritarian tendencies within the regime. Peskov emphasized that these developments are apparent and concerning.

Additionally, Peskov highlighted that Kiev continues to prohibit itself from engaging in negotiations with Russia, further complicating the geopolitical landscape.
