Immaculate Kabutha, the Chairperson of the Kenya Netball Federation (KNF), has been elected as the Secretary General of Africa Netball, serving a four-year term. This announcement followed the elections at the Africa Netball Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Gaborone.

She expressed optimism about implementing strategies for grassroots development across the country and emphasized the need for proper indoor sporting infrastructure in Kenya. The KNF has had a successful year, hosting the East Africa Club Netball Championships and seeing Kabutha ascend to the East Africa region’s presidency. KNF Secretary General Millicent Busolo noted that this continental position would bring positive changes to netball in Kenya, particularly in improving the country’s rankings in the sport. The AGM, consisting of 19 members, voted 17-2 in favor of Kabutha.
