Kenedougou: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Morolaba, Germain Mien, led an awareness session at the Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) on the importance of civil documentation and the risks associated with statelessness. The session, held on Monday, October 27, 2025, focused on educating the population about the significance of civil status documents.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the awareness-raising activity facilitated the processing of 162 beneficiaries for the establishment of the Burkinabe National Identity Card (CNIB). Germain Mien, accompanied by a Humanitarian Action agent, Kabore Amadou, emphasized the initiative's aim to strengthen understanding and access to civil documentation. This initiative seeks to involve local authorities and community leaders more in the documentation process.
Germain Mien highlighted that the campaign is designed to reduce obstacles to obtaining identity documents. By increasing the number of citizens with proper documentation, the initiative aims to enhance citizen participation and inclusion. Mien also acknowledged the ongoing support from local services, which are committed to fostering a resilient population through this CNIB issuance operation.
