Kenedougou: The Orodara health district, in collaboration with the provincial coordination of women of Kenedougou, organized a cervical and breast cancer screening campaign through the services of a mobile clinic in Orodara. This event took place on Friday, October 24 and Saturday, October 25, 2025, as part of the commemorative activities for Pink October.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative was sponsored by Presta Sud Babali CEO Mahamadou Barry, allowing numerous women to receive free consultations and preventive examinations. The campaign offered screenings in two categories: one for cervical cancer only, and another for both cervical and breast cancer.
The event was highlighted by the visit of the High Commissioner of Kenedougou province, Saidou Sakira. He was accompanied by the representative of the sponsor, Mathias Gansore, and other dignitaries. They toured the mobile clinic facilities to encourage the health personnel and acknowledged the importance of the initiative.
Authorities praised the organizers for their commitment to women's health. Bernadette Traore/Sanou, the provincial coordinator of women in Kenedougou, expressed satisfaction over the high turnout and dedication of the health workers involved in the campaign.
