Kenedougou Hosts Forum to Formalize Informal Economy in Orodara

Kenedougou: The Secretary General of the province of Kenedougou, Bassanma Ko, chaired a provincial forum in Orodara aimed at addressing the informal economy. The event was initiated by the provincial directorate of youth and employment of Kenedougou.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the forum, held under the theme "Formalization of informal jobs in informal economic units, a guarantee of labor productivity in the informal economy," sought to promote dialogue between technical support services and informal economy players. The objective was to formalize activities and enhance labor productivity.

Seydou Hie, the provincial director of youth and employment, highlighted the significant presence of the informal economy in Kenedougou's economic structure. He emphasized the need to involve various stakeholders to foster a transition to the formal economy.

The event was sponsored by Arouna Traore, the Director of Financial Management at the Ministry of Agriculture, who acknowledged the initiative and its theme's relevance. Traore noted the forum's potential to improve the employability of young people in Kenedougou and urged technical services to continue supporting informal economic units.

Bassanma Ko expressed gratitude to all stakeholders and partners for their contributions to the forum's success.
