Orodara: The Lamogoya Taama Association, also known as the Alliance on the Move, presented the outcomes of its project aimed at enhancing the medicinal plant grove. The project, financed by the Guiriko Regional Council, was revealed on Friday, November 21, 2025, in Orodara.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the project was part of the environmental component of the 2025 storytellers' march. It sought to organize environmental education sessions and conduct symbolic reforestation across seven localities traversed by the march.

The association's president, Arouna Traore, known as "the Walker of Kenedougou," reported that 1,611 plants were planted, surpassing the initial goal of 1,500. He expressed satisfaction with the results, despite some challenges during the project's execution.

Mr. Traore highlighted the population's openness to the promotion of medicinal plants as one of the key insights gained. He also emphasized that the project fostered interaction among participants, leading to discoveries and friendships.

Established in 2019, the Lamogoya Taama Association is committed to promoting walking, well-being, and environmental protection.
