Keetmanshoop: Tanzanian Men Arrested with Cannabis Worth Over N.dollars 1 Million

Keetmanshoop – Two Tanzanian men, aged 21 and 22, are set to appear in the Keetmanshoop Magistrate’s Court on Monday following their arrest for allegedly possessing cannabis with a street value exceeding N.dollars 1 million. The Namibian Police Force’s crime investigations coordinator for the ||Kharas region, Deputy Commissioner Nikodemus Mbango, informed Nampa that the arrest occurred last Thursday. The operation, led by police intelligence, took place approximately 51 kilometers on the Grunau/Keetmanshoop road.

According to Namibia Press Agency (NAMPA), The suspects were apprehended after being found with 22 kilograms of cannabis. The seized narcotics have an estimated street value of N.dollars 1.1 million, marking a significant drug bust in the region. The arrest is part of ongoing efforts by the Namibian Police Force to combat illegal drug trafficking and related criminal activities.
