KEETMANSHOOP — The annual Keetmanshoop Agricultural, Industrial and Tourism Expo (KAITE) successfully raised approximately N$238,000 in pledges at a gala dinner this Friday. The funds are earmarked to support the 68th edition of the expo, which is scheduled from October 29 to November 1, 2024, under the theme “Tourism and Green Investment for inclusive economic development.”
According to Namibia Press Agency, the event aims to enhance economic development and sustainability in Keetmanshoop and the broader region. The expo is seen as a crucial platform for showcasing local capabilities and fostering economic partnerships. Diergaardt emphasized the importance of the expo in promoting tourism and green investments as pivotal components of Namibia’s economic strategy. He highlighted the expo’s role in demonstrating the country’s commitment to sustainable practices and economic inclusivity, which are vital for future prosperity.
