Kazima Scores First KO in Angolan Boxing Cup

Luanda: Interclube team boxer Francisco Kazima delivered the first knockout (KO) in the Angolan Boxing Cup on Thursday in Luanda, defeating Joo Dondelai of Electro do Lobito in the first round in a +90 kg category bout. The fight, on the third day of competition, took place in Pavilion II of the Cidadela Desportiva, where the athlete affiliated with the National Police demonstrated technical superiority, precision, and confidence. According to Angola Press News Agency, of the three regulation minutes, Kazima needed only one and a half minutes to put his opponent from Benguela on the mat, thus securing his qualification for the semi-finals. In the next phase, scheduled for Saturday, Francisco Kazima will face Jordo da Silva of Águias do Golf 2, who benefited from the absence of Jeoedilson Luvo of the FADA club, also in the +90 kg category. In the 75 kg category, Avelino Luzito, from the 'Talentos club', also resolved the fight in the first round, leading his opponent, David dos Santos, from Cabinda, to submi t by RSC. Nafital Goma, another athlete from Interclube team, in the 70 kg category, won by default against Estef Snia Domingos, from the Diamantes club. Adilson Isaac, from Electro do Lobito, defeated Joo António, from H. y Henda, by RSC in the third round. In total, the third day of the Angola Cup saw 18 fights, with one KO and three RSC victories. The semi-finals will be held on Saturday, with the finals scheduled for Sunday, in what is the second largest event on the competitive calendar of the Angolan Boxing Federation (FABOXE).
