Kaya University Center Hosts Conference on Order and Discipline

Kaya: Students from the university center at the school of order and discipline gathered as the Kaya University Center organized a conference on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, focusing on the theme "For order and discipline, I commit myself: what expectations do I have of the student?" This event was part of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the conference was moderated by Sankara Hamado, principal secretary of the center. The speaker engaged the young students of Kaya by blending anecdotes with real-life stories. Zakaria Bayoulou, the regional director of human rights, civic promotion, and peace in the Centre-North, structured his communication around four key points: the meaning of order and discipline, the crisis of order and discipline, and ways to restore it.

The speaker highlighted that the crisis of order and discipline is evident in various sectors, including families, educational and training institutions, and both public and private administrations. The fields of commerce, environment, politics, civics, and the fight against terrorism also experience this crisis. He emphasized that order and discipline are non-negotiable, warning that offenders could face social, moral, or criminal sanctions. He urged the audience to commit to upholding these principles.

The conference, organized by the administration of the Kaya University Center, saw the participation of all students and administrative authorities, led by Dr. Adama Ou©draogo, the region's governor. Other notable attendees included Hien/Traor© Nida Blanche, director in charge of youth, and the staff of the university center's administration.

Colonel-Major Z. Blaise Ou©draogo, the region's governor, stressed the importance of individual commitment, urging participants to focus on the "I" in the theme. He called for those already practicing order and discipline to continue and to report those who disrupt societal harmony.

The event concluded with authorities and students addressing various concerns, reinforcing the need for a collective effort towards maintaining order and discipline.
