Sourou: The municipal office of the secondary school council officially installed Karim Sana, president of the special delegation (PDS) of the Niaogho municipality, presided over the general assembly on Friday to establish the municipal office of the secondary school council. This new consultative body aims to strengthen the governance of secondary schools and promote better coordination among education stakeholders in the municipality.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the establishment of this municipal office is part of the dynamic of consolidating participatory governance of secondary educational establishments in the municipality of Niaogho. Chaired by the president of the special delegation, Karim Sana, the meeting brought together the principals and directors of high schools and colleges, the members of the executive offices of the school councils of the different establishments, representatives of the students, of the town hall as well as of the decentralized technical services involved in the education sector.
At the opening of the proceedings, the PDS commended the strong mobilization of participants and their commitment to improving the local education system. It reiterated that this body provides a forum for consultation intended to foster better coordination of actions to enhance the quality of education. Following the discussions, the participants proceeded, by consensus, to elect an executive board of five members.
The office is composed of J©r©mie Sinamba, president; Halidou Compaor©, general secretary; Regina Ou©draogo, treasurer; Paulin Compaor©, secretary in charge of organization, information and mobilization; and Salam Compaor©, in charge of coordinating activities and improving the quality of education. Speaking on behalf of the board, the president-elect thanked the participants for the confidence they had placed in his team. He reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with all stakeholders in education to contribute to improving academic performance in the municipality.
Concluding the proceedings, Karim Sana congratulated the members of the new board on their election. He urged them to demonstrate responsibility, availability, and a spirit of collaboration in order to meet the challenges facing the education sector. He also urged all actors in the educational community to support this new body in fulfilling its mission for the benefit of secondary schools and learners in the commune of Niaogho.
