Mouhoun: The President of the Special Delegation of the commune of Safan, Ali Traor, installed Inspector Karim Dembl as the new Head of the Basic Education District of Safan on Saturday, November 29, 2025. Dembl takes over from Baya Bamelo, who had been leading the district since 2018.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Inspector Karim Dembl expressed his gratitude towards the various stakeholders in the education system for their support. He acknowledged the presence and importance of the delegation from Tcheriba and conveyed his appreciation to the Ministry of Education for their trust. Dembl committed to building upon the foundational work laid by his predecessor, Baya Bamelo.
Bamelo, in his farewell, encouraged his colleagues to extend their support to Dembl, highlighting the role of the Special Delegation President in achieving several initiatives like training sessions and the implementation of key projects. He praised the support received during his tenure and wished Dembl success in his new role.
Boureima Konat, the provincial director in charge of Basic Education in Mouhoun, recognized Bamelo's dedication by presenting a certificate of recognition. Konat urged Dembl to address the challenges in the district related to teaching quality, administrative management, and community involvement. He called upon educational partners to back the new leadership.
Ali Traor, the President of the Special Delegation, extended his congratulations to the outgoing head for his contributions and assured continued support from local authorities to Dembl. The installation ceremony was attended by educational actors, administrative and traditional authorities, as well as delegations from nearby municipalities, underscoring the communal commitment to education.
