Kampti: The municipality of Kampti celebrated International Workers' Day this Friday in an atmosphere marked by fraternity, social cohesion, and recognition of the efforts made by workers for local development.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the commemoration mobilized workers from various constituted bodies, as well as a large influx of people who came to show their support for this unifying event. The day's program included a fun run and an aerobics session, allowing participants to exercise in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Activities continued with tea, board games, and a communal barbecue, fostering networking among people from different sectors.
The evening was highlighted by a highly anticipated football match between the civil servants' team and the Kampti residents' team. Played in a spirit of fair play, the match ended in a draw after two twenty-minute periods, to the cheers of a large and enthusiastic crowd.
Speaking at the event, the president of the special delegation of the Kampti municipality, Soulama Massahiba Aim©, praised the workers' commitment and congratulated all the participants. He expressed his delight at the strong turnout and the material and financial contributions that made the event a success. He also highlighted the spirit of solidarity and unity that prevailed throughout the celebration.
This 2026 edition of the Labour Day celebration in Kampti will remain, according to the organizers, a moment of communion and recognition towards the workers, the true pillars of the development of the commune.
