KAKAMEGA: Governor Fernades Barasa held a public participation forum with residents of Mumias West in Musanda Ward yesterday.

According to Kenya News Agency, the interactive event focused on involving the locals in decision-making and projects across the region. The topics discussed ranged from road tarmacking to the revitalization of Mumias Sugar.

“We want to involve all the locals while initiating projects in the county, and it is also important that you give your views on the projects,” Governor Barasa said. He stated that the county would follow Kakamega County’s transformative 3rd Generation Integrated Development Plan for Sustainable Development for its projects. Among those who attended the forum were Roots Party Leader George Wajackoyah, area MP Johnson Naica, and multiple Members of the County Assembly (MCAs).
